From USA Today bestselling author Lisa Desrochers, comes the third book in her sizzling New Adult series.
If you play with fire…
Tossed out of college and cut off by her parents, Samantha West is in pretty dire straits. So when her rocker best friend hooks her up with a job dancing at a gentlemen’s club, who is she to turn it down? Plus, there are rules to dancing at Benny’s: No touching, keep your clothes on at all times, and never get closer than three feet. Unfortunately for Sam, her first private client makes her want to break every single one of them.
Harrison Yates is scorching hot, but he’s got a past that involves being left at the altar not too long ago. Sam is determined to make him forget about his ex, but when she makes her move, it flings her life into a spiral of chaos she never saw coming.
Because Harrison Yates isn’t who he seems to be. And his secret will probably get her killed.

This book is like the ultimate reviewer challenge—it's incredible with an epic twist that I certainly didn't see coming and changes the entire trajectory of the story. And it occurs just over a quarter of the way in. I've seen reviews that give it away and those that don't, but I would never spoil this because it. Is. Awesome. So now I get to be wonderfully vague while still trying to convey just how much you need to read this book.
For those who haven't read my reviews of A Little Too Far and A Little Too Much, I absolutely love this series. I swear, with each book it gets better and better, each subsequent review I end up declaring my new favorite. A Little Too Hot was no exception to this rule.
We first met Sam in A Little Too Far and she was, to put it mildly, less than endearing. She came across as overly boy crazy and extremely self-centered within the book and her relationships with Trent and Lexie. That was my one concern going into this book—that my dislike of Sam would carry through and not allow me to enjoy the story. Since then, her life seems to have been in a constant downward spiral, which served to make me even more nervous, because it's a character arc that can be very shaky for me. But I needn't have worried.
Despite being a bit of a hot mess, it didn't take long for Sam's more likable qualities to shine through. She's feisty, strong, and capable, even though she's lost her way. It took almost no time to start rooting for her and to realize that she's much more sensitive and loving than she likes to show others. That made it even harder to see her continue falling until she ends up dancing as a last resort.
And this brings us to Harrison. He's in the club where Sam starts working and she immediately takes notice. The tension and raw attraction between them was amazing and so gripping from the beginning. It's just truly intense chemistry and will keep you invested and interested for the long haul.
Then there's the twist. It's major. I got to the page and must've stared for a solid couple of minutes before I could keep going. I truly never saw it coming and ended up enjoying the story even more because of it. The results are massive for Sam but it really helps to convince her to get her life back on track. And the relationship between Sam and Harrison gets to move past sexual heat and really develop into something just as smokin' but infinitely more special.
Finally, there's a healthy dose of action that wasn't really a part of the first two books, but really fit and rounded out this one. The stakes are certainly higher for Sam than they were for the first two female leads of the series. Speaking of which, Lexie and Trent and Hilary and Alessandro make cameos and it's adorable!
Overall, A Little Too Hot was a fantastic continuation of the series, but can definitely be enjoyed as a stand alone. So wherever you're at in the series, be sure to check it out! Sam's story is an intense, sexy story that, at it's core, is all about growing up and taking ownership of your life. And who doesn't love that?
